Teen Trump Supporter Attacked for MAGA Hat as Dems Call for Harassment of Trump Officials

In San Antonio, Texas, a man named Kino Jimenez was caught on video throwing soda at a 16-year-old named Hunter Richard after ripping off his MAGA hat, along with some of his hair.

Hunter was eating at Whataburger with a friend when the incident occurred, allegedly not being at all provocative, however an alleged witness claimed he was making racist comments. The responses from both sides of the political aisle have generally been sympathetic to Hunter.

“I support my President and if you don’t let’s have a conversation about it instead of ripping my hat off. I just think a conversation about politics is more productive for the entire whole rather than taking my hat and yelling subjective words to me.” – Hunter Richard

The man who took Hunter’s hat was also a member of the Texas Green Party, according to Heavy.com. The party has since terminated their association with Mr. Jimenez.

“We all have different opinions of our president, but we don’t take it out on innocent kids who just happen to have a hat on…From our point of view, he is banned from being part of our organization” – Gavino Zarate, Secretary of the Harris County Green Party

This trend of hatred against Americans who support the President is nothing new, however it has taken a new form in recent weeks as Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders was told to leave a small farm-to-table restaurant in Lexington, Virginia named The Red Hen.

Stephanie Wilkinson, who owns the business, said “I would have done it again,” and that “there are moments in time when people need to live their convictions.”

Although nobody has yet to be seriously hurt, these actions reflect the mentality of the modern American left, that anyone to whom they disagree with is not just a person with political differences, but an enemy of all things good.

Several Yelp reviews of The Red Hen expressed a disgust at the actions of the owners, alluding to a sense of discrimination not too different from pre-civil rights act segregation.

“WOW. Just WOW. This restaurant discriminates if it doesn’t agree with your political views,” a Yelp reviewer wrote on Saturday, June 23rd, when Sanders announced the incident on Twitter.

The question remains, if it is okay to deny service to someone who disagrees with you politically, is it also okay to do the same for politicians who support abortion or gay marriage, for example?

Maxine Waters, a Democrat from California who supports the impeachment movement against Donald Trump, made a speech near the Wilshire Federal Building in L.A. calling for the harassment of Trump administration officials.

“The people are going to turn on them. They’re going to protest. They’re going to absolutely harass them until they decide that they’re going to tell the President, ‘No, I can’t hang with you,’… and if you see anybody from that Cabinet in a restaurant, in a department store, at a gasoline station, you get out and you create a crowd. And you push back on them. And you tell them they’re not welcome anymore, anywhere.” – Maxine Waters

Republican Senator from Arizona Jeff Flake tweeted “left or right, nobody deserves this kind of treatment.”

However, leading politicians have defended her remarks. Nancy Pelosi, another leading Democrat from California, called her remarks “unacceptable,” but also “provoked” and “predictable,” indirectly blaming Trump.

A Maryland Democrat named Steny Hoyer defended her remarks, arguing that “the American people have the right to speak their mind,” without addressing the issue of harassment.

However, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, who is a big critic of Trump, shockingly said on the floor of the U.S. Senate “I strongly disagree with those who advocate harassing folks in they don’t agree with you…That’s not right, that’s not American.”

Unfortunately, it seems that much of the left no longer sees politics as a battle of ideas between people who disagree, but an all-out-war which warrants harassment and bullying of the other side. Some day we might get back to civility, but it is going to take condemnation by reasonable Democrats of the very dog-eat-dog rhetoric that their party now stands for.
