Many libertarians will be in awe today as the leading republican candidate Donald Trump Calls for an audit of the Federal Reserve bank of the U.S.
“It is so important to audit The Federal Reserve, and yet Ted Cruz missed the vote on the bill that would allow this to be done.” he said today on Twitter.

Not just libertarians, but many people from all political aisles understand the importance of auditing the fed.
It is also important to note that although Bernie Sanders often talks about going up against Wall Street and the big banks, he killed the Audit The Fed bill proposed by Congressman Ron Paul in 2010; thus undermining an attempt at gaining more transparency of the biggest bank in the country.
Ron Paul wrote this on his Facebook page not long after the bill failed:
“Bernie Sanders has sold out and sided with [Sen.] Chris Dodd to gut Audit the Fed in the Senate. His ‘compromise’ is what the administration and banking interests want,”
In his tweet he also made note that republican candidate Ted Cruz coincidentally missed the vote for a bill that would have audited the federal reserve proposed by Ron Paul’s son Senator Rand Paul.
Now that Rand is out of the race, it seems that Donald Trump is the only candidate who stands with the people to Audit The Fed.
